2wd baffled sump ?
Couple of questions with regards baffled sumps.
I intend on going drifting, and have heard about baffled sumps.... and the fact I would need one. So... What are they, and who can make me one if I give them a sump ? is it simply a case of some strips or 'obstacles' placed/fixed in the sump to restrict the flood of oil about the sump? and would I need one on a 2wd cos that will be going drifting sideways lots |
Not sure if you need one for drifting, but Mike at R&B motorsport can do one for you :top:

This is my Big wing of Mike R, They dill holes into the wings which act as baffles. The next option is a Gated sump but i know they are not cheap.

Not fussed on price as im planning this for my next engine.
Whats the main reason for baffling though? the surge of oil on track days? Dont wonna ring up Mike and annoy him by asking questions :? |
