Strange ABS problem on Sapph

Hi,

I have a strange ABS problem on my 2wd Sapph : when I switch on, (without action on starter engine), orange ABS lamp is on, during 5 sec and became off : it's OK.

But, when I action starter motor, the orange ABS lamp light on immediatly.
(only orange lamp, not red brake lamp)

Fluid level is OK.

Any idea ?

Regards.

Claude

Bonjour, Claude. :)

When you crank the engine, all the power goes to the starter motor, and the ABS controller ends up with no power. When the starter's finished cranking and you let go of the key, the ABS controller has power again. Then it performs the self test again. :top:

If the lamp stays on after that, you may have some form of earth problem which only exists when the engine's running.

Does the lamp go out again after the engine is running?

My lamp(abs) goes off after pressure build and stays off even when starting, I let pressure buold up first before starting all the time, on first start of the day.

Hi,
Thanks for your "fluent french". Very appreciated. :) :)

It is that I believe, may be an important drop volt during starting.
To according that, during starting, my SECS light on an alarm : low volt.

The problem is that my ABS orange light stay on !!!

This morning, I checked all ABS wiring with Ford special tool Break Out Box, and every thing is OK.

Next step is to check all earth point.

Thanks Cozmeister and Tabetha.

Claude
