Default Timing cosworth engine

I am checking the timing of my cosworth engine and I can't see the reference point for the auxiliary shaft (or distributor rotor arm) on the engine itself.

How does it look like and does somebody's got a picture of it?

I tried the manual, but this is not clear enough.

The aux pulley you time up using the back plate, has a semi circle on it and u want it in the middle of that!!! then once thats done you need to turn the dizzy housing so the marker on the top edge of the housing (its very small bout 1mm wide!!) is in the middle of the rotor arm!!

Pics here mate

you may find that the auxilliary shaft oil seal plate doesn't have a marker on it - it doesn't really matter on the orientation of the shaft, just the rotor arm in the dizzy

You only need to get it within 10% on each side of the mark on the distributor if i remember correctly and the management adjusts accordingly.

I'm changing the timing belt in my Cossie and so far I've lined up cam gears and crankshaft pulley. But the auxilary shaft's timing mark doesn't line up with the semi circle, instead, the tip of the triangle points in the left side of the semi circle, so it's about 5 mm off. How's that, it's suppose to line up as the cam gears are OK and so is the crankshaft pulley?

Don't care about that. But make sure you triple check everything.

Btw. Are you CRSC-member?

I'm not member, I only have account on CRSC.

And BTW, how tight the crankshaft v-belt pulley bolt should be? I used relatively much force but it didn't come off... Car is on axle stands and I had first gear and hand brake on.
