Default Turbo Heat

I have a problem of excessive heat coming from my turbo,there is a constant smell of burning rubber too.the bottom of the turb also has a white powdery coating on it now. local ford garage was no help . I have a 92 4x4 sapphire. Thanks

The problem here is fueling, the exhaust gasses are to hot, this means that you are running lean and it needs to be rolling roaded to get the fueling right, if you dont do this the say bye to your turbo and possibly your enginge as it will dettinate

do you have a turbo heat shield on???

the rubber smell is probably the protective layer around the clutch cable!!!
