Default Newman Cam Kit - Custom Profile

I have for sale a full Newman Cam Kit. I tried various cams in my 350bhp CVH, but nothing worked as well as this profile. I had bought this ready to fit as the next step to improving my spec, but obviously never got that far.

What I am selling is the following :-

1 x Newman Camshaft (Custom Profile) - £125
8 x Mechanical (Solid) Followers - £132
8 x Double Valve Springs 200lb - £54
8 x Chromoly Retainers - £28

The profile was my own and would work fantastically well at circa 300bhp (Stage 3 T3, T34, GT28 etc). I found that the car was nice and strong at the top end (this is the profile I used at 171.3mph), but still quite responsive.

Costs are basically Newmans prices, without the VAT, so a good saving over buying this 'new', but remember this is a custom profile.

£350 inc postage for the lot.

Out of interest, i already run the off the shelf newman which i've never thoght was anything special profile wise but last longer than kents lol, so would i need to replace the solid lifters if i put a new cam in? When you say custom profile, what characteristics does your cam have compared to the standard newman, based on any cam in particular?
Cheers
Dave.

Their normal CVH cam is quite good actually. In my opinion, you'd need to replace the lifters or at the very least send them back and have them refaced.

My cam was a profile that I (bravely) asked for based on flow-figures from my ported head. I think the profile will suit the turbo's I listed above and will work better than the off-the-shelf profiles when using with a ported head with or without big valves.

The cam won't be any good to you, you still need the right solid lifters for it!!

/\ steve it'll be easy to fit pal, don't panic.
although you're way off 350bhp on a 1600cvh.

if it was anygood for my zvh i'd have it myself, but it won't be.

I can sell this either as the cam on its own for £125, or cam and solid followers for £250 (without the springs and retainers).
