Uneven Tickover
Hi Folks.
Had a problem with uneven tick over when cold. Runs great when warm and returns 54 mpg, no smoke and gets regular services.
I changed the air filter again yesterday as a matter of course and decided to remove the top of said filter housing to clean it. I noticed that the clip that holds the rubber hose after the MAF sensor was missing. With my limited knowledge of said 130 TDCi I would have thought that this could have caused the uneven tick over? I have cable tied it at the moment until I can get a clip.
It does seem better today on a 75 mile motorway run, will keep an eye on it
Thoughts please!!

I know these engines can suffer from poor idleing and hunting. Its normaly a faulty fuel sensor on the fuel pump. Its held on with 2 allen key bolts. Its a five minute job to change. But the poor idleing and hunting is normaly all the time no matter if the engine is warm or cold.

Many thanks Glenn. Could you please be more specific on the location of said sensor? Is it on the pump at the front l/h side of the engine looking from the front of the car, behind the EGR pipe
One of these? Delphi Inlet Metering Valve IMV Fuel Pressure Regulator Sensor 9109-903 from fleabay.
Forgot it's mk3 mondy 2007, last of the mk3 TDCi
Cheers

These are the ones ive changed in the past. They just bolt to the back of the fuel pump. I think its ran off the cam shaft.
