Mondeo Mk3 wiring diagrams - air con fault finding
Have an issue with the air con compressor on my mk3 tdci, it seems the compressor clutch is not working, not sure on gas pressure and believe if the pressure is too low the compressor disables.
Where is the pressure switch so that i can short it to test compressor ?
Also what is the terminal connections for the compressor clutch so that I can give it 12v and check electrics before i swap the compressor for another.
thanks

FYI, the pressure switch on the Golf (could be different on yours) cannot be bypassed, as it sends a duty cycle rather than a ground or voltage which cant be imitated really.
You are best getting it regassed in the 1st instance, then 2nd replace pressure sensor. You could put 12v to the compressor to test it, but if there is no pressure in the system you could end up damaging it and they are the most costly of components.
Kwik fit have a "if it doesnt work after we have regassed, no charge" policy. Maybe worth a shot?

Good luck with all this pal, Ive just sorted my golf out after days of diagnosis.
