2.2tdci turbo help.
I've got a 54 mondeo st with the 2.2 tdci, have recently replaced the turbo cartridge but upon reassembly noticed that the vnt in the exhaust manifold was nackered. I removed any broken vanes and reassembled to see how it would affect the cars drivability. The car drives fine apart from not developing usable boost as the vanes are jammed in a fully open position.
The plan is to buy a second hand turbo to use its manifold with the vnt in and put my new cartridge in. My question is will my 155hp turbo fit in and function correctly in anything other than a 155hp manifold, the 115 and 130hp turbos complete with manifold are much easier to source than the 155's.
From the pictures I've seen the manifolds look the same across the hp range but hopefully someone can confirm if they're interchangeable.
