Default Wipers on 2016Ford Focus

My wipers decided to turn on all by themselves yesterday full speed while driving and the stick would not cut them off and did not have any control over the wipers at all. I returned home cut the car off and removed the key and the wipers still kept going. I had to remove fuse to get wipers to stop. I have replaced the fuse and the wipers will not work at all now. I have checked the fuse and the fuse seems fine. My Focus is not equipped with rain sensor and I checked and no recalls have been issued for my vehicle for wipers.
Has anyone had this issue or any remedies please.

I would start off with changing the relay or getting fault codes read ideally.

And a friend of mine had this on his 13 plate fiesta, turned out to be a loose wiring plug on the body control module.

Should be being a 2016, Ford only do 3 years I think. Just take it to Ford, say its under warranty & let them fix it.
