Rod length help
I have a set of super tech Pistons and I need help choosing the right rod length. I would like to stay close to, or below, the 9:1 comp ratio as I plan on having a lot of boost with race gas and even a shot of nos. What do you guys think the rod length should be and why?
These are the piston specs...
bore size: 3.346/ 85.00mm
comp height: 1.161 / 29.50mm
dome height/dish depth: -9,0cc
valve pocket depth: inlet 6.0mm exhaust 4.3mm
pin ř: 0.787 20.00
min ř clearance: 0.00236 (0.07)mm
These are the rod lengths I have gathered from research...
5.36" 136.1mm Silvertop stock rod
5.54" 140.7mm Blacktop stock rod
5.476" 139.1mm American stock rod
5.475" 139.07mm Pauter rod
5.482" 139.24mm Crower rod
5.483" 139.27mm Eagle rod
5.878" 149.3mm K1 tech rod
