1.6 Mk1, no spark at all.
Out a straight road it died suddenly, cranks fine, smells of gas if cranked for a while, and the pump runs well. But No spark at all on any plugs, and neither any blinks when using a light in the coilpack wires.
Wires traced fine from engine bay into the ECU plug, so i figured the ECU was a dud. Had it repaired by a guy, which took a bit longer "cause it wasn't like the others we've fixed".
Still no luck after repair. I've replaced crankshaft sensor and checked wiring for that aswell and it comes out fine. Car registers RPM using a tester while cranking.
Anybody have any golden tips here, or things to check/measure?

Well i'll wager a guess the ECU is dead, despite having the ignition transistors repaired. No fault codes pop back up after a clear, but it had P0351+P0352 logged when i got a tester on it after it died. Iginition Coil A+B malfunction. New coils changed nothing sadly.
I think my current best bet is grabbing the key+ECU from a car at the breakers that has the same number, from reading about PATS should only be in the ECU, so if you move over the transponder it's good?

Update: Ford wanted bit under a grand to replace ECU and recode it and stuff.
Went to the scrappy, stumbled upon the keys for the car with the excact same ECU(both part number and the 4 letter code on them), bought it, got the safety shield stuff off, plugged it in, swapped key chips, fired right up.
Kinda late now, since another car(mint 100.000km escort mk6 1.6) has been bought in now, but atleast it's easiere to sell the Focus now!
