Default Focus saloons rare/ collectible?

My colleague has one of these in metallic green - not sure of engine - going mouldy in our office car park. I have offered to try to get rid if it to free up some space. It doesn't run but has no catastrophic engine problems I don't think. Flat battery and brakes possibly seized up. It is in Hull and will be for sale if it is of interest. I can take some pics. Seems a shame to scrap it if they are becoming rare. I've seen some modded. My first post here. Been posting on Scoobynet under same username for years if that helps allay fears of trolling!

Probably beginning to get a bit unusual, but I wouldn't go as far as calling them "rare" yet. As for collectible, highly unlikely, until they are about 50 years old and there is only a handful left.

Not really. Saloons are undesirable and I've had said as a non runner is probably worth scrap value.

Ah. Thanks for the feedback. Yes, that's kind of what I expected! Just wondered if there might be an eccentric who liked the saloons a lot and did them up. Would have to be really eccentric mind!

The only desirable part will be a 2.0 zetec, if it has one. The rest is just weight. You will be lucky to not have to pay some one to take it away.

They're an odd one and not a massive seller. Had mine for 3 years though and it was a cracking car though. 2.0 zetec with 4 branch, decat and a map. Went alright really

I remember seeing pictures of one on here years ago with a big spoiler etc. Seen a few from the US that looked ok too. Always going to be really niche though.
