Stuttering / Hesistation 1.6 Zetec 105k
Started with change of spark plugs. Stuttering / hesitation when I put foot down. Kangaroos sometimes after heavy braking.
Particularly bad in higher gears (3/4) below 1500rpm.
put ford plugs in gapped to 1mm. Helped but not totally solved problem. Changed leads. Still not sorted. Changed coil about a year ago. Not a ford one. Could be going, not sure.
Bosch service lied to me and said no fuel filter on car. Probably just couldn't be arsed to change it. It's been changed since I had it at 72k. Not sure before that.
no eml.
any ideas? Ta.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Breathers split under the inlet manifold and cause air leaks messing the fueling up.
I've known cheap coil packs fail in around a year, could be worth trying another.
Any fault codes stored can you get your hands on a code reader?

The T-shaped breather and grey valve looked crusty when I bought the car. Changed them out. no problems there. All the hose work looks fine. No collapsing / hissing.
i might bite the bullet and buy a ford coil pack. Seems silly wasting money on another shite one that'll only last 10k.
no fault codes stored. I need to get a live reader really and go for a drive. Mine is pretty basic and I hear some codes are immediately deleted on engine switch off on fords. Unless the eml light comes on.

'Wasted' money on another shite coil pack. Solved the problem.
Havent got £50 spare for a new Ford one. But had £16 spare for another cheapy.
thanks for help. Foci do eat coilpacks don't they? That's the third one I've fitted in 2.5 years.
