Default Could a droplink cause a clunk/knocking sound ?

Car - 2006mk2 ford focus sport 1.8 TDCI

About 2 weeks ago at night I hit a deep pothole, several days later I noticed a clunking/knocking noise from suspension I guess. the noise has got worse as time goes on.

I went to a suspension shop today who jacked up either side and confirmed there was no play in either wheel, he said it could be bad drop links.

I do not really hear the noise driving over speed ramps , more when slowing down or applying brakes at low speeds.

I will replace the drop links myself if they need replacing (I've replaced several suspension parts with no problems) .

I just want to know, is it likely this knocking/tapping sound could indeed be the drop links ?

thanks to all in advance

Spend the money and buy some genuine ford parts, or they will fail again very soon

It'll be the rear light gaskets, its common on focus's after hitting a pothole
If you spend the next 3 weeks rubbing sticks together to make a special tool,
You could remove the lamp cluster and make your own sealer from a recipe passed down from the ancient greeks to a close family member
Or you could just listen to what people keep telling you,
Or even better tou could stop trolling the place with the same stupid posts day after day,
What we on now? Day 2 post 2 of the knocking?
Exact same as yesterday, amd prob the same as tomorrow
