T309 BFM at the beginning.....
Well after reading a focus restoration thread on another forum I decided to Google T309 BFM to see if it still existed. The reason?
In March 99 I worked for Polar Ford who were just sorting out their demo plan for some T reg demonstrators. T309 BFM & T308 BFM were put on the demonstrator plan.
T309 its seems has lived its life as a very individual focus which is just how it's life started. It was fitted with a 'WRC' body kit and roof spoiler and zebring?/Remus? exhaust before it even went on the road. It was also lowered 25/30 mm. It looked absolutely fantastic.
I drove it as my company demo for about 4k miles and everywhere I went it got attention. Especially as Colin McRae drove the WRC focus from the beginning I think?
It handled really well and made a great sound.
Eventually it got sold as Escort GTi's went on to the demo plan. Sad to see it go really!
PS T308 BFM was Juice Green 5 dr
