Default Is this the thermostat housing bung...

I have a slight coolant leak and hopefully have sources it to the common one - thermostat housing bung.

just to double check this is what I believe...



There was a drop of coolant hanging on this so suspect that's where my leak is coming from.

Please ignore the dirt/grime/rust, I will clean and replace cheaper parts when it's running trouble free!

Yes I think so. Tell tale sign is a crusty drip mark down the front of the gearbox.

they are common to leak normally a 0'ring or worst case a crack

Cheers for that.

I'll just hope it's the bung and not the actual casing as I'd imagine that's a lot more expensive!!

Is it ok to use the genuine Ford O-ring that comes with the bung or should I upgrade it to something else?
