ST170 Piston Rings- Are they the same as 2.0l blacktop
Does anyone know if the ST170 uses the same piston rings as the 2.0l blacktop? I can't find a separate listing for the ST170.

They are the same rings. My blacktop rings for the ST Pistons perfectly.

I know it's an old topic but it's at the top of the google results for 'st170 piston rings', so for any future searchers...
They aren't the same, the top ring is different:
Top piston ring – Internal bevel to reduce blow-by of combustion gasses and negative ovality of the ring ends to reduce wear.
Also, the FINIS numbers are different:
ST170 ZETEC 2002-2005 finis 1216982
Focus
2.0 ZETEC 1998-2005 finis 1053833
Mondeo
2.0 ZETEC 1993-1996 finis 6939046
2.0 ZETEC 1996-1998 finis 1050712
2.0 ZETEC 1998-2000 finis 1053833
I would guess the blacktop rings will physically fit the st170 pistons but the top one should be different.
