Default new family member



Have been looking for one of these for a while and lucky to locate this beauty.




32k and has been in storage for the last few years, the goodyear tires are dated 2005 and there still like new .




build number is 0156, the photos dont do her any justice spotless cond, and one very happy owner.

Done a few things with the car this weekend , removed and cleaned all four wheel arch liners and hay ho no rust quick clean up and paint of the places they go and a good coat of wax oil and back on with liners.

The biggest fear i have is once you start cleaning places under the car it can get out of control i have an escort cosworth bt that i started doing small areas of and now its getting a complete restoration

That particular spot under the wing mirror is notorious for rusting. If you look closely you can see some bubbling already. Best sort it out early. I hear it's a result of the wing mirror chafing against the door with vibrations from the road. If you shave a mm or so it should be fine.

The spots that look like bubbling are where the mirror was starting to wear through the paint and are touched up in the photo, its a very bad design that the mirror is only held on with one bolt and are able to vibrate

Bought this beauty a couple of weeks ago, i was going to sell but shes so good i couldnt let it go , 2 owners 28k and totally original ,

Got some stuff back for the focus after been powder coated , could anyone recommend an Irish company that would plate my bolts / nuts etc ?
