Smile Focus RS Mk1 1 Tuning Advice

Hi all, having just sold both our RS Turbos S1 and fez i have just bought a Focus RS mk1, it has been mapped by turbosmart to stage 1 and has a miltek de cat and full exhaust system. Everything else standard. I have a eml light on, have plugged in getting the fault codes P0420 and P1130. Having checked this out im thinking I have to some how tell the ecu i have not cat, buy an eliminator is it? I have no idea and possibly a new pre cat sensor as that is showing as a fault, it does seem to be running rich and does some times cut out. Normal driveability its fine pulls hard no problems with that just rich at idle and lumpy tick over, will a eml eliminator and a new hego sensor sort this do we think? your ideas and help would be appreciated as i my knowledge is fine if you want a mfi turbo sorting! cheers guys

You need a map that will put the MIL light out and let your engine know you have a decat, other wise it overfuels, and actually loses power,

the guys over here will help you out mate http://bbs.rsownersclub.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=134

also the tech section has a full list of error codes and their meanings, its a very busy forum and plenty of people who can help you out.

You say its running rich and cutting out, don't have an atmospheric dump valve do you?

Hi guys, no dump valve, standard apart from de cat and exhaust. I have fitted an new genuine Hego today as the fault code im getting refers to this, still no joy, hunts badly at idle, has been serviced today, also no problem with breather hose, no splits etc. Have had it on live data fault machine and and will not go into closed loop lambda sais there is a problem with it, so its running lean at idle making it lumpy, cant see why though, might have a re map so rule this out as i am unsure of ehat its running at the moment.

If you have decat and no map, will cause it to run too much boost and run lean causing bad running.
