Default focus 1600 zetec se. help wanted modding

hi. i currently have a focus 1600 zetec se and want to modify it without going down the route of changing the complete engine. i found out recently that it is a yamaha engine so was wondering if these suzuki gsxr1000 camshafts will fit?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA:IT&ih=005

if not is there anything i can do to make them fit? also ive been looking at some zetec turbo pistons on ebay that have been skimmed 2mm

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA:IT&ih=008

my knowlege of engines is not great so any help would be much appreciated. sorry to ask so much but also. if i bought a turbo manifold that fits a 1.8 & 2.0 what would i need to do to get it to fit on mine? any information woul really really help. thanks

i don't think there turbo pistons... i think, and they look like standard pistons just skimmed.. Also they will be alot weaker.

Don't bother fucking about with the 1.6 engine. You can tune the nuts off them and they will still make the same power as a standard 2.0 litre!!!

Only conversion that works REALLY well on these is throttle body conversions but they are megabucks and still leaves you with the same problem as above!

Save your money for a bigger and better engine.

No the cams will not fit. Just as cams for a Metro won't fit a Ferrari.

No the manifold won't fit and won't be any good.

I'm almost certain the pistons won't fit and won't do you any good either.

You need to read / search for a lot more information about how to tune engines and what engines can be usefully / cheaply tuned, before you waste any money buying things that are totally useless to you.

I put pretty much every mod on the market onto a 1.4 and 1.6 SE engine before converting to a 2.0 Turbo. And quite frankly, although it came a short buzz, it was a waste of money. Biggest gains I saw was 145bhp with Nitrous on the 1.4. The 1.6 just didn't want to budge as much.

I'm not loaded, I'm not a daddies boy but I'm sure as hell not a stupid fuckwit either to consider spunking thousands of pounds into a shitty 1.6 sigma engine where you'll only ever see the same amount of power as a 2.0 litre with an air filter and an exhaust.

I'm not the only one telling you you are wasting your time and money either! Some people just can't handle that sometimes other people know better!
