Default NOT SURE ABOT NEW FRS...

Picked up the FRS on Saturday. In general, absolutely over the moon with it. Ive just got a couple of slight niggles, which Im not sure about. When its cold in the mornings, on tick over, you can just and so hear a sqeeking kinda noise. A bit like that of a belt or something. Sonds like its coming from the drivers side of the engine. I only noticed it this morning tho on the way to work. It seems to go when warmed up.

Once warm, however, there is a very slight tapping noise. It isnt even noticeable from in the car. I only heard it when I lifted the bonnet and started it up.

I had a 6 hour journey bringing the car home, and it ran perfectly, so surely these noises cant be too much can they?? Any ideas or info would be much appreciated, as Im quite worried. I just hope I havent spent all this money, and its fu**ed!!

Cheers

Yeah, found that before anyway! Yeah, thats just below the maximum line.

Took the car to an Independant Ford specialist at dinner time. He said the noise on cold is the Fan Belt, so gonna get that replaced. Booked it in for a service aswell.

Right, the new Fan Belt sorted out the noise on cold. It is still slightly tapping however. Anyone got any suggestions?? Tappets?
