Default Focus RS Exhaust

A mate wants to get an aftermarket exhaust for his FRS but not sure on just a cat-back system or the full works...

...just wanna know whether its gonna be worthwhile getting a de-cat downpipe for it as well in terms of cost, ease of fitting, swapping it over for MOT time etc?...

Without a shadow of a doubt, full Milltek + decat is the way. Worth every penny!

Heard of a few people shearing bolts getting the cat off but had mine done at a garage so can`t comment really!

thanks for the replies guys...

...i take it the downpipe will be fairly straightforward-ish to swap for the MOT?...

...and what about cops pulling you over and seeing no CAT?... happened to anyone?!

Once the orignal is removed it's 5 bolts to undo - 1 at the join to the turbo, 2 at the join to the cat back part of the exhaust and then 2 mounting bolts.

The orignal cat had 7 or 9 can't quiet remember. Anyway orginal will just sit back where the decat is and same 5 bolts can be used.

As for the police not seeing it - only if they get under the car - and the FRS is pretty low so couldn't be a doughnut eating one that has a look!

The only worry would be the road side emmision checks that they are now able to do but i know of knowone that has been tested like this yet.
