Default 2003 Focus 1.8 TDCI starting problem £1000+ down :(

hi guys im sorry this is my first post and have come seeking help allready but im really stuck and have spent alot of money out .. heres the story

i was on way to holiday on motorway only when the glow plug light started flashing and car cut out i turned key off then back on and car started straight back up i then figured out this only seemed to happen under acceleration if i speed up gently it would be fine foot straight down on the peddle light flashes again etc.. anyway i made it holiday still but on the last day when i was coming back home car would not start at all...

(it got harder and harder to start as the days went by).. bit of easystart got it going and i managed to get home saftley but with light and cutting out happening now and then..

as soon as i got home i took it to a diesel mechanic and i ending up having to buy a brand new HP fuel injection pump and had all 4 injectors refurbished and a new fuel rail and had the tank and fuel lines cleaned and flushed..

3 months later car was still down there and new parts fitted but car will not start cranks but dont fire the diesel mechanic now no longer wants to fix the car as he has '' HAD ENOUGH OF IT, THE CARS A PAIN IN THE ARSE JUST TAKE IT WITH YOU... '' so this is where im stuck now im £1300 out of pocket and car now does not run at all even still easy start it wont run.. it cranks over ( sounds rough , engine rocks/shakes alot ) but will not fire even though it was running I drove it to him when i took it there just needed easystart to get it going first?

any advice on what this could be

i have had new HP pump fitted (delphi) injectors reconed and recoded new fuel rail, tank and lines cleaned out im hoping now that i have had pretty much most of the mains parts fitted its nuffing series and hopeing i do not have to scrap it, its been a wicked car untill now its a 2003 1.8 tdci zetec with 73,000 on clock i have had it for the last 3 years

any help with be very appreciated
thanks
Anthony

The first thing I would do is talk to trading standards, the blokes taking the piss with the way he's treated you.

if the starter motor is lazy they wont fire, they dont always sound lazy either if i remember correctly they need to turn the engine to at least 250 rpm before it will fire

If it is in the garage for 5 continuous week, then it's in the wrong garage.
Or everybody in that garage is sick, disabled or on holiday.

Better to start your own thread, but we had someone on here recently that put a second hand engine in a Focus and it turned out it was for an automatic and the bracket for the crank sensor was different.

With the correct bracket for the engine it started straight up.
