Default 09 focus titanium 1.8 tdci.

Hi I'm new to this forum but I'm looking for advice or info. I bought a 09 focus titanium 1.8 tdci a few weeks ago now it's still in da deals where I bought it because there was a vibration coming from the front when u reach 50mph to 70mph. There is 30000 mls on the clock the car is quite smooth went started and in lowere gears and speed. I was talkin to the deal again and they changed part of the driveshalf but no change but now there goin changing the flywheel to see if that changes anything. Has anyone experienced something like this and if so if it's the flywheel what are the chances of similar happening again down the road??

Appericate any information regarding this..

Thanks in advance
Adrian..

It could be dual mass flywheel, but they normally rattle on idle. That is quite a low mileage for it to have failed at too. Not too sure what else to suggest, modern diesels are so over complicated these days!

If the flywheel is going it will realy show when the clutch is on the bite point, when you start up, switch off or let it struggle in any gear.

Mine went at 43k and to be honest I don't think the mileage means all that much, if someone drives in a fashion that is bad for the DMF it won't last long.

If the DMF is on it's way out have the starter motor checked as bits from the DMF can drop into it with the result being a fubar starter !
