1999 1.4 focus won't start
 

Evening,

Just bought a 1999 1.4 zetec focus, it's been stood without a battery for 2 months, connected a battery, it turns over, but won't start.

Any ideas?

does it attempt to start ? have u checked obvious fuel at injector rail spark at plugs ? they are common for fuel pumps packing in have u got correct key or tried another key is pats light out a bit more info may help

Could well be fuel pump, I had one go on my old focus. Lift the back seats up and turn the ignition on. You will hear the pump whirr for a second. If it doesn't then it's most likely knackered!

Thanks for the replies, it's looking like the pump, did some research, checked fuse 12 and the fuel inertia cut off, both ok, spark is good, no fuel getting to the rail

Going to have a better look when i get chance tomorrow
