Default door mirror indicator tinting

hi there, got water inside my lens after it got a whack and knocked the cap out of shape, since put cap back on but left with some black marks on inside,i have spray tinted the lens and was wondering is it legal now,had to go dark to hide the stains but u can still see the indicator when on,ok, nowhere near as bright as before.
what people think, will likely change it before its MOT,next year just to be safe

Up to the testers discretion I'd have thought. I think part of the mot test is about sufficient brightness of lamps, and modification of an e marked part, which you could be pulled up on. I think it's unlikely you will have too much trouble though!
