Default Heater only blows warm or hot air

My heater works fine on full heat, but on cold settings it still comes out warm rather than cold. Car is a mk6 2008 zetec s. It does have air conditioning, but that doesn't work (re gas needed?)

It doesn't appear to have a heater control valve on the bulkhead like my puma did. The car does gurgle once behind the dashboard when you first drive away. Is this the heater matrix? Head gasket hasn't gone and I don't loose coolant.

Cheers,

I would be checking if the ventilation system is working correctly be it heater valves or air distribution flaps.

I am sure it's The same set up as The ka. The wife had to live with it through a very warm summer before I got around to fixing it.

The solenoid packs up and the control panel often follows.

It's not a big job. Or expensive if you get a pattern valve and a s/h panel.

This HCV ^^ it's a common issue.

As to the A/C, yes the first place would be to check the refrigerant, i.e. gas.
