Fiesta mk 6 1.25 zetec climate 57 plate won't turn over
My sons car has started misbehaving, last week it's been playing up. We can put the key in the ignition, all lights come on as they should but won't turn over, not even attempt to turn over no noise! Then go back out an hour later and it will start no problem! Had a new battery fitted but problem still exist, to be fair I didn't think it was the battery! Can anyone throw any light on the subject?

How are the battery terminals? any white residue (corrosion). I would start there maybe use a bit of sand paper or wire brush to clean them up.

Hi the battery terminals are all good! I'm an electrician so I did check that! Another thing that's been happening is the dash lights, speedo and rev counter all go off then suddenly come back on when driving! Engine still runs when this happens!
