Default MK5 1.25 how to change lifters/tappets

hi all,
my 1.25 mk5 has been sat in the garage for almost a year now, and i need the space. i've not made any time for it at all. too many holidays means i've not put the time or money aside to fix her.
i've borrowed an automotive stethoscope and the locking bar and pins for the cams,. i'll replace the lifters. I've got a whole new set of 16 to put in.

the engine mount doesn't need to come off because I'm not changing the belt ... is that right? it's only done 20K since it was done.
how do I remove the cams without messing any timing up? are they ok to take out with the setting bar in place?
how are the lifters fitted? just pushed on?
thanks

what do you mean 'cart change them'? they just pull out? suction cup them out?

can i just take the cams out after the belt is removed, after i've loosened the cam pulleys?

the lifters on the exhaust cam cylinder #4 aren't opening enough so they're tapping on the cam lobes and making a racket!

They all make a racket, it's just how they are lol. As said though, they are shimmed, you shouldn't have to replace the lifters themselves, just adjust the thickness of shims.
