Default WHAT FUEL??

My erst is running about 230bhp whats the best fuel to put in it?? superunleaded or optimax....also if i was to drive a lond distance with minimal hard acceleration would unleaded be ok or would that cause damage . cheers

Do not run it on Unleaded. The other option is up to you, personally I avoid Optimax. I mostly use Esso SUL or BP.

Most of the time i use good old 4 star as m8s dads garage still sells it but is a tad on the dear side £44 TO FILL MY S1

for example my mate had to run lees boost as his car was dettin on super unleaded,optimax cured this

stop being cheap and put at the min SUL in.

My engine totally standard.
Been told that 2-1 is ok ( 2 unleaded to 1 super-unleaded )

yeah ive found 99 ron. Try tesco,s . standard saff went and felt very strong with it

check last months performance ford. they did dyno test on fuel. stay well away from spermarket fuel its crap. Big gains can be found from fuel.

Only unleaded on S2. The head has hardened seats. Fifth gear did a test on different fuels. Optimax was best, giving most power on a WRX. This means the ECU sensed the quality of the fuel and adjusted the ignition. RST doesn't have a clever ECU but run Optimax since it's best.
