Default A little help to a foreigner!!

Hello guys!
I live in Portugal, and there's pratically no blue oval modding here were I live! I'm making a S2 RsTurbo, wich by your standarts will be a pretty normal car, but I hope it'll rule the Portuguese street racing scene.
I'm fitting it with a GRS intercooler, a hybrid t3 wich wil run about 16/17 psi, a pipert285t2 cam kit, a magnex exaust, a ported and semi-polished head, lightned and balanced bottom end, 5th injector and a P.T.S. chip.
I'd only like to know, by your experience, if you think that with that kind of spec I could beat a standart scooby!! Belive me, that would be very important to me!!!
Cheers m8s!

That sounds like a pretty good spec mate, you will easily push 220BHP, Buit of course you will need to get it propperly setup on a rolling road, if there is one over near you?

Good luck. Get some pics up too

The rolling road is not a problem, but a tecnician that knows what he is doing is a little bit harder to find. Here in Portugal, they only tune saxos, hondas and subarus!!! Fortunatlly, I met a british guy that's working here in Portugal in a competition workshop who has a cabrio RsTurbo and knows lots about Fords, so it's just a matter o geting the owner of the rolling road to let my british friend use it to map my car!

Depends if the scooby has been tuned or not really, ive had a play with a P1 in my 323i BMW and the Scooby wernt pi55ing over me and the BM is only pushing out 185 bhp and compaired to an Escort it must weigh about twice as much!!!
So would have thought a 220bhp RST would be a Scooby eater!!!! lol

Get in there!!!

BlackS2 m8, tell me, @ what boost do you get the 157 bhp??Are your only mods the chip, actuator induction kit and exaust?? Finally, have you ever raced a saxo 16v, and if you did, did he even stood a chance???
cheers m8!

Hello matey,

Im only running about 11psi boost at the mo to get that figure. Yep, the above are the only mods on the car at the mo! Once I get my large intercooler on I will be able to up the boost closer to about 15psi. But im gunna need a bigger turbo, stage 3 head and low comp pistons to get where I want it to be....over 200

Yes, raced a saxo just the other day, It was a 1.6 VTS as well, he tried to give it sum, I was just sitting on his back bumper boosting up and dumping, then he gave up, I must say it was only up the high street so never got over a good 50mph but he couldnt pull away and im sure I would whip him on the motorway too.
