spiget bearing in the end of rst crank
 
hi all i have just rebuilt my s1 engine and am not to sure if there should be a bearing (spiget bearing -dont konw how its spelt)in the end of the crankshaft fly wheel side where the gear box shaft sits
i know that on a cossie it has one but thats rear wheel drive as i have changed one of these
any help would be great as this is the only thing stoping me putting the engine in :wall:

Theirs no listing on Burton's website for a spigot bearing for the CVH so i assume their isnt one?

No, there's no spigot bearing in a CVH.

Accroding to that pic there isnt a spigot braring and if there is ment to be one i have never fitted of seen one when rebuilding rst bottom ends.
