Hey
I'm about to buy a new exhaust and I have decided on mongoose, but the last exhaust I had stainless system (used scorpion) it lasted 5 month and then it started to rattle big time. A friend of mine bought a used mongoose and it too started to rattle.
A suspect it being because my clutch has some judder, but have any of you experienced this problem?
I don't want to buy a new mongoose just to find it rattling within a year, cause then I might as well buy a used system and get someone to fix it when it starts to rattle..

buy a new mongoose, and if it starts rattling send it back!!!
thats what you pay.
i've not had problems with mine.
sayin that it did sound like their was a bolt in it but turned out to be the wastegate partly open.
it has a little penny like flap that is riveted on and when i backed the actuator off to regulate the boost it rattled.
not that that will be your problem if you've not messed about with yours.
turned out my amal valve was shot!!!

Just bought a series 2 turbo a couple of weeks ago, it has a full mongoose system and im wanting to get rid of it already. Cant go over any speed bumps or have anyone in the back seats without it catching. sounds sweet so i don't know what to do.

Oh and also.... make sure any U clamps are turned to the side and not to the ground as the nuts were catching on the floor with mine (painfull)
Hope this helps
How about that i just got my car chipped last friday and am rinning a 3" bore goose and have since noticed a rattle high up the revs in 1st and 2nd gearhave just come back in pissed of as i was wondering what the fook it could be was starting to think bad thoughts so why is it exactly they rattle
this is wot i know not opinions but facts:
magnex is the best fitting exhaust will not rattle or anything and is the only one to have a flexi which will dampen the vibration, only downpoint to this system is its not as loud as the others
Scorpion sounds good but is the most restrictive so not very good performance wise, no flexi so not as good fitting as the magnex
Mongoose is the best for performance and sounds the best too, once again not as good fitting as the magnex.
The problem with the systems without the flexis is that if you have an engine which cant stay still the vibrations go to the exhaust and can possibly snap off your bolts doesnt happen all the time but can happen, way to get round this is to fit a flexi!!!!

i had a goose on my last s2 what i noticed straight away was lack of a hanger near the rear wishbones without this the zorst moves also engine mounts gearbox mounts soon as they go the zorst is pulled forwards causeing bushes to split tbh i cant see how it can be a solid piece of tubeing makeing a rattle its a clamp or sumat along those lines
i have a magnex with a flexi pipe but the problem i have is when i hold the revs at about 3500rpm theres a loud buzzing sound from the flexi pipe might try jubilee clips
might get it replaced with just a normal pipe. I thought it would have been my old flexi pipe and fitted a new one at the cost of £80 but the problems still there. Can sound quite nasty when holding at 3500rpm
