Car Failed MOT!!! :(
All...
Took me car for MOT on Friday and as I suspected it may do, it failed.
Failed on the following...
2 front tyres bald on inner edges, now sorted with 2 new tyres and tracking adjusted.
Emissions.... CO2 level was way too high. Was reading approx 8% and the guy told me it shouldn't be any higher than 3.5%.
Now my problem is... My current MOT runs out on 3rd June so I need to get it sorted ASAP.
Wheres the best place to get this adjusted and can I just take it to my local garage to adjust them? The guy said it was linked to the ECU as the car is running EFi.
Full spec of my engine is in my sig....
Any advice would be hugely appreciated!!

you dont need nothing more than a screwdriver and a gas analiser.
if he failed it on emmistions he should have both.. The adjuster is on the N/S inner wing at the back. little black thing with a screw thread in it.

So if thats adjusted correctly then it will correct the running of the car as I think its running rich at the moment.... Am getting a black sooty mark appearing on my back bumper above the exhaust tailpipe.
Looks like the guy was talking rubbish then when he said he couldnt adjust it!

yeah when you bring the co down m8 it should run better but after you have taken it for a re test u should bring it up again to about 5%, my vans running the same sort of spec as yours but a 1.6 cvh low comp and runs perfect at 5%
