ADVICE NEEDED PLEASE RUFF RUNNING S2 ERST
 

hi can ne1 help my 89 170bhp turbo has decided 2 run proper ruff. coughs n splutters anywhere thru the rev range at anytime, altho this is not constant as can run most excellant sumtimes it pulls like a whore!!!!!! iv disconnected the cold start plug no change. fitted new pump n filter (fuel) have a new fuel relay on the way. also it seems to be using loads of fuel and i can smell it too altho i have checked every fuel connection and can see no signs of leaks or corrosion. this is only the second problem iv had in 4 yrs of owning it. it was set up by castle performance about 3yrs ago who did a great job but they r miles 150 AWAY AND I AINT TAKING HER TO WELL LANE AS THEY R F#@KING CRAP PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 THAnx :wall: :wall: [/b]

last set up 3yr ago..jeez! lol well is your exhaust covered in black soot at the tailpipe? if so then its overfueling, so theirfore its not leaking! i cant think why tho. did u check the engine bay for leaks wilst it was running? makesure they new fuel filter isnt leaking also!

is air flow flap inside air filter sticking open slightly this can cause them to over fuel maybe why your smelling feul all the time :?

:cool: yes there is black soot around the exhaust, does this mean it needs a good rolling road setup??? will check the airflow flap tnite. i av checkd all connections while running and not found any leakage whotsoeva. thanx 4 tha advice tho, im taking her all the way to castle performance to have her setup ready for selling :cry:
