Default RST S1 Dash warning lights bypass?

My dash lights, RST S1 do the dance on start up, basically due to faulty or missing sensors, ie brake pad sensors , coolant and dipstick sensors/connectors, but all lights go out after a dozen flashes or so as to let you know they have a fault. My question is, can the wires on the plugs be linked out or would this give a close circuit and force the lights on all the time? Do the connectors serve to measure resistance for start up? Perhaps one day I will carryout permanent repairs, but not a priority now as I would always check myself fluids and pads, just wondered what anyone has done?

I would remove the bulbs.

I used to hate that dipstick on my S1 back in the day.
