My heads going round in circles trying to pick the right turbo. I want response similar to a T3 I want something that comes in around 3.5k and will give me the 270-300hp max i require

My engine is forged with big port head etc STD comp ph4 Newman cam .over the box manifold and bigger inlet .

I've been looking at these

2wd cosworth T3.48
4x4 cosworth T3.48
4x4 cosworth T3.48 with roller bearing and billet wheel
Gtx2860 internal gated
Gtx2860 -0.57AR external gate with outlet back into exhaust to keep it quiet .

You've ruled out the EFR then?

Having to have another manifold made to suit it and another 700quid to send what I have back and get the 6258 in .80 trim that's all

Realised I might aswell just stay run of the mill T3 flanged turbo mate on my over the box manifold .

I would still take any efr on t3 flange format.
Fitting a twin scroll 6258 will be the best thing you would have done.

Yeah, after all the work and money that has gone in to that car don't let it down on the turbo. I cannot tell you how much better my car was after junking the t34 and the 6258 is smaller that the efr I have.

Yeah, that's the way I will have to do my new engine, I know eventually I will probably get the 7670 but for now I will see how I get on with the turbo that I have. Same with the inlet, I really want individual throttles but for now it will have to do on the hart inlet.

gtx2867r 0.57 trim is also on the list that could be a contender .

When I had my VW Caddy MK1 with a 20v in it the rage was all gt28rs, I think they are still used for up to 400 bhp but I think the big boys have moved on to EFRs now although I had hoped to pick up a cheap gt28 for my Audi TT thinking there would be loads about but not seen any cheap setups.

Would a twin scroll on a standard manifold still be a good performer? Then change the manifold when funds allow.

I am sure it would still be one the best performers, the manifold just makes the magic happen. I always think it is quite nice on a project where you know you have something extra to look forward to when funds allow. You would prob need to have the map tweaked when you add the manifold though.
