Default Questions about braided fuel lines + gearbox

Hi all, I'm new to Passionford but heard a lot about this forum.

I have a question about the braided fuel lines, I bought a kit on Ebay earlier this month from Pro-Line Motorsport) but some people say that the braided fuel lines aren't any good for the engine ? Is this correct ? Because the lines costed me like 200£. Also do I have the RS Turbo gearbox apart but the input shaft has worn on the fifth gear, Do you guys know a spot where I can find a new input axle for the BC FWD gearbox ? Thanks in advance and I hope to make some new friends and get some knowledge over here !

Welcome to the forum. Make sure they are e85 proof or you can get fuel smells.

It is not advisable to change the standard injector pipes it will cause running issues

Also told that the MFI fuel pipes when braided cause fueling issues due to inner diameter of the hose being larger ...best to stay standard ford imo

As long as these are fuel resistant AND as hard as the original ones. Pneumatic hoses usually won't work as these are too soft.

To be on the safe side, use custom made braided hoses. Most non-Fords with K(E)-Jetronic (all VW and Audis) came with braided hoses.
