iB5 Gearbox Question
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction here. My gearbox has bit the dust and I've been looking at my options, I've seen a cheap iB5 gearbox from a KA, if I was to fit this box how do I go about converting my car to hydraulic clutch, does the KA release bearing marry up with the RS Turbo pressure plate, I've looked for guides on here but they all seem to use the RS Turbo release arm with a bolt on slave cylinder.

The sport ka box is not the one to use, requires too much modification really and the ratio's are terrible (too close).
If you are CVH you need a front starter IB5 cable clutch box from am MK5 escort or Escort diesel van (long ratio's if you go diesel though) for direct fitment.
If you are ZT then the early KA 1.3 box (Pre 2002) and fit a hydraulic master cylinder to your pedal (hole in bulkhead, modify pedal to take clevis pin, run pipe to slave).

Can you not use the early ka box with a cvh karlos ?
ive got a lsd box in my fiesta which is shagged so wanted to go ib5.
Was as originally looking for a sport ka box ( I'm not running big power - so close ratios is fine.
Im still on a cvh. But might go zvh black top over Xmas
