Default RST S2 - Door Seals

Hi, I am new to RS Turbo ownership 2nd time around. I have bought the white beast above and I want to replace the black trim that runs along horizontally on the front door just above the door handle. On the red one, just above chrome strip. Any ideas where I can get these and are they easy to replace. Been hunting high and low and can't find them. I think they may be called glass door seals.

I did have a look there but saw this, Can be fitted both externally and internally. Also known as the weather strip. These will fit all models. They are correct on the RS Turbo S2 internally but do differ from the external ones.
Do you reckon It will be noticeable or actually fit.

The outer ones are known as "weatherstrips" or "window scrapers". There are 4 types listed from ford. I think the 5 door models are different in length. You will have to get the 2 door type and the code for the RS is 1652664. These are the same for both the Mk3 S1 and Mk4 S2 models. These come up for sale on ebay but are scare now. The inner ones are a different shape and are like sourcing hens teeth. They are easy to replace but be careful at the wing mirror area. The outer ones are universal and will fit both doors. I have never changed the inner ones. They are not cheap now.

You can use Corsa ones, a search will tell you what phase you want. Ford never made a 2/4 door Escort mk3/4, The 5 door Escort ones won't fit, But any 3 door ones will, so dont just use RS in your search.... Obviously the Cabriolet ones are totally different so don't bother with them.

On my track car i used the corsa ones ,need a bit of trimming around the upright rubbers that the window slides up and down in, but they do look good and i think better than the ford ones

You will need them from a corsa c 3 door ,and some trimming is needed
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAUXHALL-C...wAAOSwGYVXBRoU

that is for inner and outer on the passenger side ,but it shows you what to look for ,i have only fitted the outer ones so could not tell you if the inners are any good

I can also confirm the Corsa ones work a treat once trimmed down...

there is also a guy on facebook on one of the RS Turbo groups who sells them

As Twins says...they look and perform a lot better than the Ford ones
