Default Clicky pedals

I noticed while out mapping before Fordfair in the Orion my clutch and brake pedal have developed clicks at the top of the pedal travel, if I press the clutch first, the brake pedal clicks...
If I press the brake first the clutch pedal clicks...
Im running hydraulic clutch so no clutch ratchet...
Is there plastic bushes each end of the bar the pedals pivot on? It's been a while?
Would that be causing my pedal click?
If not any other ideas?
I know years ago if the pedals clicked it was a sign of a worn clutch ratchet...

The bar that runs through the pedals doesn't have bushes from memory. Almost 100% certain of it. The pedals have bushes. I would be having a good luck at the bulkhead and the pedal box as a starting point.

There are plastic bushes in each side of each pedal, what happens is that those bushes fall out as the pedal box opens up a little giving them room to move, then the pedal clicks as it pops in and out of them.

I left mine like that for years and eventually it wore a large groove into the pedal bar that I had to weld up, and it made the pedal hole become oval so had to get a new pedal.

No pictures of the work I had to do, but these look right

When putting the pedals back together, I glued the bushes in place to make it loads easier to get it all in.
I also added some extra spacer washers on the bar to take up the slack between each side of the pedal box, I can only assume they bend over time especially with heavy clutches.

It could be something else if you've gone hydraulic, but those bushes are what failed on mine

Cheers Matt

I'll try sort it asap... If it's not obvious I'll sort it when it's all pulled apart for the Focus box conversion
