should they be Cibie or this type?

I thought the carello where on a mk3 rst and the oben with the ford sticker in the middle where on the mk4 rst

Carello 640 or the ones in the ebay link are also acceptable as they're the Ford accessory lights.

Pretty much the way it is for all Mk3 and 4 Escorts apart from some RS1600i that had Hellas fitted

Keep an eye on ebay,they come up quite often but as with all things old and Ford these days they're not cheap.
The series one turbo website might be worth a look,quite often guys on there selling bits and pieces.

Facebook has been good for them latetly. Saw a few sets of good ones with brackets for £70 -£80

They're not wrong but it would possibly have come with Carello 640s rather than those.

I'd be happy with either these or the 640s though.

They are wrong, The ones you want are Carello 640 fitted as standard. Those Ford ones are the accessories items.

The one's with the ford badge on are dealer fit only not originally fitted by F.M.C .
