Question anti lag question

hi all,

i am in the middle of fitting some new parts to my engine and stick on the dyno and wondering if it will be safe/worth fitting anti lag while I'm at it???

its a fiesta rst engine EFI
T3 hybrid
big actuator
kent 34 cam
scorpion exaust
airtec rad
big front mount intercooler
omex 600 engine management
standard rst pistons

will it be a big job to do this or do i run the risk of wrecking my engine ?

as far as I'm aware the only real damage is to the turbo and that will need a special shaft

Question

Thanks

i have a Garrett T3 rebuilt and hybrid internals put in so would that be ok instead of opening it again for that shaft ??

i only want to use this anti lag for recreation, not going to be used every day or on any tracks. I would only use it for car shows and the likes..maybe a track day once a year or in a blue moon ???

great so i reckon i will go ahead and start looking into it to get it done !

so if its an EFI engine with OMEX 600 management and a good turbo, what other parts will i need to get the job done? and is it going to cost a small fortune to install? I'm not sure whether its going to be a massive job to install ?

thanks again!!

I'm not familiar with OMEX but assuming it supports it you will need to modify your inlet manifold/throttle body and have some sort of air bypass valve fitted too.

Cant imagine its easy to get hold of a Mar-m247 shaft these days, seen the odd one for sale but they were very expensive.

In all the years I have been building systems from budget oxfam to life racing, very few of the cars have used a 247 shaft. None of them destroyed the turbo from overuse of ALS.
Unless you are building a full on track or race car you wont need expensive turbo.

Omex will run anti-lag fine mate but as said you need to get the ALS valve or get your valve modded
