Smokeeeee
Hi
Finally got them new engine put in the car today, just started it up and boy did she smoke, kind of a white smoke but when I got too the back of car there was kind of black sooty droplets. When the old engine went it was smoking like you have never seen. Could it be just burning the old oil out of exhaust system?? How long would it take to clear?? I could t run it for long, (less than 10 mins) as a copper just passed and pulled into the drive telling me to turn it off haha. The only old parts I used was the turbo, exhaust system and metering unit. What's the thoughts?? |
White smoke is steam from vaporising water... the black droplets are probably just condensation coming out the exhaust along with old carbon deposits, the inside of your exhaust will be filthy remember.
I'd wait until it's been properly been ran up to temperature to start worrying :) lol |
