S2 heavy breathing
Think my s2 is in a bit of trouble:sad:
Massively overfuelling, spark plugs are dry but jet black and sooty. I know I can get a good set up and sort that out but I am more worried about its breathing. It seems under a load of pressure. Still on mfi and original cvh. Its producing white smoke rings from the exhaust that stink of fuel and the coolant is boiling and bubbling after a run. On cold start it barely gets going and idles crap until the revs pick up. Sounds awful. Checked the uprated breather and there are no blockages but seems like extreme crankcase pressure. Dreading the worst like rings etc..When I released a pipe from the breather to the metering unit there was a load of smoke. Compression test showed 155 across the board. Any suggestions would be great. Not looking too good though:? |
Cylinder leak down test may help, is it using oil and coolant?

Just dreading the worst and don't want to spend too much to find bottom end is in trouble as would be a good contribution towards dropping something else in:sad: |
Are all the breathers clear

The tube that the breather attaches too on the block can block up too

I know white smoke is normally water burning so could be the HG on its way out but not sure that would cause excessive pressure.:? |
If head gasket has gone it can pressurise the cooling system aswell as blowing steam out the back. If the cooling system is pressurised a sniff test could confirm the issue.
