zetec turbo clutch problem

hopefully someone can help with this, i got my zetec turbo up and running today but when i tried to drive it out of the garage, i couldn't get any gears at all.

the set up is a cvh flywheel, helix 4 paddle clutch and a standard luk cover. its all fitted in an ib5 box with the correct ib5 release bearing.

i ended up stripping the box out this afternoon and it looks like the release bearing is coming off the end of the sleeve that it's supposed to slide on, before it reaches the cover. has anyone else had a problem like this?

cheers in advance

How does the pedal pressure/movement feel?

Paddle in the correct way around?

I found with a Helix clutch and an IB5 hydraulic box I had to grind some off of the friction plate center (the part with the splines) as it was too 'long' and actually destroyed the release bearing.

peddle feels ok when the engine isn't running, the paddle is fitted the right way round.

sounds like a possible solution. mines a cable operated box but might have the same problem as your hydraulic box, how much did you have to grind off?

About 5mm I think, a fair bit.
