No boost :(
My series 2 will not boost above 5psi
Iv had engine out over winter and only modification I really done is put a second hand air tech intercooler on it.
I just gave good service done cambelt water pump stuff like that
Engine is standard
Standard chip
Standard turbo
It's got an uprated exhaust
It does have a bleed valve it was running fine before the winter at around 9psi with no probs but now it won't go above 5psi even with bleed valve opened up before it would over boost and ecu would kick in,
My question is do you think intercooler is too big for turbo? Or leaking? But wouldn't boost peak then drop off??
Oh I also changed the actuator for a Collins one which was new when this prob was happening,
Any suggestions?
Thanks nick,
Oh also the car is struggling to start when cold but if engine is warm will start first time, I have to hold the revs when cold for cpl mins not sure if related? Is this just the cold start valve/injector?
Sorry for rambling on just want paint good picture so u have chance to identify what's up

firstly how much preload did you put on actuator and secondly you could do with presurising the inlet tract to see if you've a leak anywhere but i'm thinking actuator is first port of call
