Rs turbo been sat for 18 months won't start
My s2 been sat for a wile when I put in garage drove it in replaced turbo and gearbox now it won't start have spark and fuel (fresh)crank it over and pops out of exhaust ant thoughts or help would be much appreatated

Air leak is my first thought, check all your boost hoses and breathers are on properly, better still do a intake system pressure test.
Or take the air filter off and get someone to press and hold the metering unit flap down a few mm whilst you crank it over.

Thanks for reply I haven't had any of the intake apart and it did run when I put it away I now it's not the right thing to do but I have disconnected fuel pump relay as it seem to flood itself dried it out and tried starting on easy start just to see if it would fire and still don't just pops and bangs out of exhaust could it be that the lifters are not pumped up ? Or is the compression down where it has been sat and had petrol in bores not being ignited I now in a minit I'm gonna have to toe it up the road but have no wheels on it as they are being painted

Do the plugs come out wet then? If so clean the contacts on the dizzy cap and rotor arm, could well be oxidised from sitting unused.

Have just checked all boost hoses and all tight already fitted new cap and rota I am running out of ideas and things to check will bring comp tester home tommorow and see what that says as I've got every thing to make it start but have got in my mind I have a compression issue it has oil pressure light goes out straight away just doesn't seem to sound rite turning over like it has lack of compression

Sound like u have fitted the ht leads round the wrong way hence the backfiring and popping

Hold the flap on the meterhead a little when cranking
Also is it priming as fuel relays fuck up just for fun
