MTX conversion what linkage? more problems starter to?

Default MTX conversion what linkage? more problems starter to?

What linkage is used when doing an MTX conversion? im using a mk1 focus rs box with dave mac driveshafts.

focus rs with the relevant cables I would imagine.

As above. If you've gone to the effort to fit that box, use the proper cable linkage that works with it

it will work fine with normal 2.0l focus or any any mondeo ones as long as you dont try to mix mondeo cables with focus gear stick ect so as long as the cables and stick are from same car you will be fine .

brand new focus rs cables are £93 from ford

Currently struggling with it now. Ive got a mk1 focus rs box, Focus rs cables and gear stick unit Ive mounted the box to the block but I have nowhere to mount the starter motor? Im running a U.S. zetec turbo are these blocks different to black tops and silver tops?? because I cant mount the starter at the rear without removing a huge chunk of the engine block!

I thought it should just bolt up ?

My mtx set up is front starter and on the silver top just bolts up

It does bolt up but focus rs boxes are rear starter and theres no room for the starter i need to find out what this block is because i think its differen from silver and black tops

it sounds like you've got a 2.0 litre american cvh not zetec and the way to tell is position of oil filter as its further over on the zetec to give space for starter to fit any pics youve got would help
