My s1 had developed a new fault. It will start everytime but regardless of whether you rev it or let it idle it will only run for 3 seconds. Before cutting out. Its as if the key is being swiched off. It will do this over and over but will only run for 3 seconds. Im stumped again

check all boost pipes are secure, no splits, breather pipes too and the oil cap is on properly.

Try bridging the fuel relay and try running it again

easier to just take of the pipe that runs back to the inlet and let sb keep his hand on it while trying to start. Or put a top on it

sounds like fuel pump relay to me as above take alloy casing off should be a connector press them together either that or dicky connection fuel pump

Pin 87 in the relay has broke away from its solder. Im hoping when i resolder it in the morning that it fixes my problem.

It didnt break twice lol
